I have known Dave Iler for over 20 years, starting when I worked on a project to locate a
40-acre site with a railroad siding for a new plant in the Midwest. I was the engineer on
this project and was part of the site selection team for my employer. Dave helped
provide us with the conceptual site drawings that led to our purchase of a site in Indiana
for our 275,000 sq. ft. plant, warehouse, and offices.
Dave’s employer was one of 16 bidders from whom we received bids. Our choice of his
company for the initial site work and construction was based on the team we were
offered for our project. Dave was assigned as our Project Manager. This was a fasttrack
project that we took from hog farm to production in less than 9 months. He
provided immeasurable support and ideas for layout, construction savings, energy
saving, and selection of subcontractors for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc. Without
his help and guidance we probably would not have succeeded in bringing the project in
under budget, and ahead of schedule.
The project had several phases and Dave Iler continued to help us with the project
issues and managing of the project costs. Based on the teamwork we developed, this
project was written up in McGraw-Hill’s Midwest Construction Magazine as an example
of what Contractor/Owner relationships could look like.
Since that time Dave Iler has continued to provide significant help and support for a
variety of additional projects, and I would highly recommend him for your Owner
Representative and Project Management needs.

I have served on the Steering Committee for the Clearinghouse Project of Jefferson County since February 2010. The Clearinghouse was envisioned approximately seven years ago as a multi-tenant facility for nonprofit organizations to serve and address the needs of the residents of Jefferson County, Indiana in a more effective and efficient manner.
In March 2011, the Clearinghouse (managed by River Valley Resources, Inc.) identified a building for purchase and renovation, and secured the services of Dave Iler of Iler and Associates as Owner Representative. One of the other Steering Committee Members had worked with Dave for years and he came highly recommended.
The building the Clearinghouse eventually purchased was built in the 30s and needed extensive work to make it useable space. In addition to the office space for the Clearinghouse, we needed space for a large food pantry to be run by about a dozen different churches.
Initially, it appeared that the Clearinghouse was going to receive a very large grant from a nationally known private foundation but that fell through in 2012 requiring changes to the design, plans, and timeline. Dave demonstrated his flexibility and patience as we worked through all the changes tapping into his vast experience. He was committed to us as his client and identified some significant cost savings though the process.
I am happy to say that the Clearinghouse has come to fruition and the tenants moved in a couple months ago. Dave Iler was easy to work with and handled himself in a professional manner. His experience gave me peace of mind throughout the planning, design and construction phases. I recommend Dave based on the experience we had in Madison, Indiana.

I have worked with Dave Iler for the last three years while serving on the Advisory Committee of the Clearinghouse of Jefferson County during renovation of a building to call home. The Clearinghouse of Jefferson County is a multi-tenant facility where workforce development entities and agencies providing short-term assistance live and work under one roof.
Dave stuck with the project during the early period of overcoming a number of obstacles. He kept a positive attitude and clearly presented options to the group. He came to the meetings prepared. His connections with a number of contractors translated to money saved by the non-profit group. In addition, he always had a smile and treated the group with respect.
